Kalapatthar (Everest Base Camp)

Everest, more than the highest peak of world, is a pilgrimage to most of the people of Nepal and surroundings. The 2nd most popular trail of Nepal (after Annapurna), this 14 days Everest base camp trek passes dep into Buddhist Sherpa country with some of the world’s most sublime peaks on the backdrop. After the flight to Lukla (2840m) from Kathmandu, the trail passes passes north up the Dudhkoshi, before passing into Khumbu and the Sagarmatha National Park. Reaching Namche, the sherpa ‘capital’, and gate to the highest peak of world, you will be stunned by the view of some of the highest peak of world but also surprised by not seeing the Mt. Everset. The view of Everest will be seen when you reach Tengbohe (3860m), the wildlife rich Juniper forest which is protected by a monastery and the local Lamas. Ultimately, the trail reaches to Kalapathar(5545m), from where the unbelievable panorama of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7861m), Pumori (7165m) etc. can be seen.

Day 01:   Transfer to Kathmandu airport and fly Kathmandu-Lukla (2840m). Start trek to Phakding (2610m). (L, D)
Day 02:   Trek from Phakding to Namche (3440m). (B, L, D)
Day 03:   Rest day at Namche for acclimatization. Explore the village on own. (B, L, D)
Day 04:   Trek from Namche to Khumjung (3780m). (B, L, D)
Day 05:   Trek Khumjung to Tengboche (3860m). (B, L, D)
Day 06:   Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m). (B, L, D)
Day 07:   Trek Dingboche to Periche (4240m). (B, L, D)
Day 08:   Periche acclimatization day. (B, L, D)
Day 09:   Periche- Lobuche (4910m). (B, L, D)
Day 10:   Hike to Everst Base camp (5364m) and return back to Lobuche. (B, L, D)
Day 11:   Trek down to Pangboche (3930m) from Lobuche. (B, L, D)
Day 12:   Trek Dobuche to Namche . (B, L, D)
Day 13:   Trek down to Lukla from Namche (B, L, D)
Day 14:   Fly Lukla-Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel. (B)
